Porsche collaborated with La Marzocco
Do you remember the intriguing collaboration between La Marzocco and the legendary brand Rimowa? Well, not all coffee machines look the same. Certainly not the ones that bear the Porsche name. Arguably, any coffee maker with Porsche branding would become a bestseller, but if it’s La Marzocco — the biggest name in premium Italian coffee makers — you’ll definitely want to get your hands on it.
The Linea Micra espresso machine, in this case, is created in collaboration between La Marzocco and Porsche. It embodies Italian craftsmanship from the ground up, adorned with design elements from the automaker that fans will instantly recognize from the 911 Carrera’s details. It’s no surprise, then, that a limited-edition version of this machine sold out in less than a day after its announcement.
Inspired by the design of the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR, the Italian Linea Micra coffee machine was created in two exclusive color options. Both are special editions, limited to the symbolic number 911. The machine is available in Porsche’s original Slate Grey Neo color and the Martini Racing design, paying tribute to the partnership between Porsche and Martini Racing, complete with the iconic blue and red racing stripes.
Along with Porsche’s signature stripes and subtle touches of the automaker’s ingenuity, the coffee machine boasts La Marzocco’s unparalleled quality. The Linea Micra is somewhere between the Linea Classic, made for professional baristas, and the Linea Mini, a countertop masterpiece. It’s the same dual-boiler version of the Classic, only in a smaller size, radiating luxury and elegance thanks to the dual branding. The use of two stainless steel boilers allows brewing temperature and steam pressure to be controlled separately.
The machine heats up quickly and is easy to use, providing coffee enthusiasts with perfect espresso in just a few steps. The Linea Micra is equipped with a multi-purpose portafilter that lets you switch between single-spout, double-spout, and bottomless spout setups. The easy-to-fill two-liter water tank and integrated steam wand for frothing milk have a single Porsche touch. The handles for hot water and steam are inspired by Porsche’s drive modes, while the pressure gauge on the coffee maker resembles a race car speedometer.
This collectible La Marzocco Linea Micra coffee machine in the Porsche edition was available in the Porsche online shop and at Porsche Design stores. It’s priced between $6,555 and $6,949, depending on the color option. The coffee maker also features a magnetic drip tray and cup warmer inspired by the design of the Porsche 911 GT3.
